About the Rockwell Institute
Our History
David L. Rockwell started the Rockwell Institute as a small real estate school in 1974. Over the next several years, we became the leading real estate school in the Pacific Northwest, a position we've held ever since.
In 1981 Rockwell branched out into textbook publishing. Our Washington Real Estate Fundamentals book has been the most widely used textbook for prelicense classes in Washington for many years, and we currently publish several other successful titles, some that are specifically for Washington or California, and some for use nationwide.
In 1994 Rockwell took another step forward when we began developing computer-based real estate courses. As the Internet grew, we became one of the first companies to offer real estate courses online. Today, Rockwell's online courses are the best available on the Web.

Mission Statement
The Rockwell Institute works hard to become the undisputed leader in real estate education in every regional market it enters. We do so by providing the most effective exam preparation to real estate license applicants and by offering the most useful continuing education courses to real estate professionals who want to optimize their ability to serve their customers and clients.
The Rockwell Institute is committed to the highest standards of education. While making a profit is a key objective of our organization, that is not its essential purpose. Our profitability is, however, the ultimate measure of how well we are succeeding in providing the best products and services to our customers.
We are accountable to students, educators, and other customers, and to the communities we serve. Strong relationships with these individuals and entities are essential to our success.
Real estate brokers and real estate educators are the Rockwell Institute's partners, and we will work hard to build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with them.
The Rockwell Institute will always do its best to provide fair and equitable working conditions for its faculty and staff, in regard to both work responsibilities and compensation. We see our employees as assets, not expenses, and they are entitled to our utmost respect. We will continually invest in their skills, knowledge, and productivity. We will provide a secure and pleasant physical setting that enhances the cohesion, interaction, and morale of our faculty and staff.
Wherever our company does business, we will pursue our goals in a socially responsible manner and with consideration for the community. Our doors are open to anyone, without discrimination.
