- be a member in good standing of NAR® and REBAC, the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council
ABR Designation Course
The 15-hour ABR® designation course covers the techniques and practices of buyer representation that will enhance your bottom line. It reviews agency relationships and negotiation strategies; explains the advantages of buyer representation from the perspectives of buyer, seller, and broker; and teaches you to identify sources of buyer clients.
Electives
Rockwell provides three different courses that can apply toward the 7.5 hour ABR® elective requirement.
Effective Negotiating for Real Estate Professionals: Effective Negotiating for Real Estate Professionals will help you gain a strong competitive advantage in securing the agreements you want by teaching you how to negotiate in a more powerful and productive way. This class will teach you how to identify problems and solutions in negotiating, how to move beyond the barriers of impasse to mutually beneficial agreements, and how to secure the best outcomes for your clients. You will learn how to directly apply these principles not only to your real estate business, but also to your everyday negotiations.
Innovative Marketing Techniques for Buyer’s Representatives: Learn how to create novel marketing approaches for your personal “brand”—approaches that will grab the home buyer’s attention. Develop an awareness of your market and a vision for your real estate practice that will help you define and take advantage of your marketing opportunities. Topics in this course include: marketing to build relationships, attracting new un-referred prospects, image building and branding, marketing ideas and philosophy, building a trophy database, and standing out.
Foreclosure Opportunities for Buyer-Clients: Learn the foreclosure process, how to prevent foreclosures by avoiding predatory lending practices, and how foreclosed properties can provide a unique opportunity for your buyer-clients.
