How to Earn the CLHMS Designation

Earning the CLHMS designation is a combination of education and sales performance. Here is the path:

First, complete the Institute’s luxury home marketing training. Finishing the course makes you a Member of the Institute, which is required to hold the designation.

Next, document your sales performance. You need three closed luxury residential transactions within the last 24 months, priced at or above the qualifying threshold for your market. You can qualify as the buyer’s or seller’s agent, and co-agents count too. The properties must be single-family residential, including townhomes and condos.

Finally, submit your CLHMS application and maintain your Institute Membership, which renews at $295 a year.
